Peter Roberts
Music has far more possibilities for use than sheer entertainment.
Have you found yourself moved deeply or even brought to tears by some types of music?
Throughout Peter’s early adult years he became drawn to the sounds of exotic music and musical instruments from other cultures. This led him to an awakening to the therapeutic benefits and healing effects of music; firstly through other people's music and eventually to my own.
In 1994 he turned a 21-year interest into a full-time career in the healing arts.
The effect of his music has now been extensively researched and evaluated and he has presented at conferences in many states of Australia, Malaysia and the United States.

When we visited Anne, she lacked a zest for living. We suggested the writing of her memoirs. Over six months, we relived events and encounters which few people have been privileged to experience. Memories begun in childhood and youth have streamed out on the keys of Joy's laptop computer; joyous memories, sad memories, hurtful memories, some not been recorded but just shared in a trusting relationship. Life in the nursing home has taken on new meaning. Anne has this to say: 'I have many new friends and time to reflect on shared experiences with other people who roll along, ordinary human beings, all with a story.'
The lifeblood of NurseLink is our nurses. We provide a range of resource and support for nurses:
The National Palliative Care Program also provides a great selection of resources to nurse assistants.
